Do you have a middle or high school student who loves history or historic literature?
Scriptorium offers a history fair program that equips students with research and organization skills invaluable for college (and life).
The program is geared toward students participating in National History Day, a regional, state, and national competition that promotes students’ research skills as they develop projects about historical topics.
The year begins in late August with an information meeting, led by the tutor, a 7-year NHD veteran, about creating projects for NHD. For participating students, monthly meetings in September through February cover choosing a topic, scheduling work, developing strong research skills, writing text, and creating/designing a project. Participating students receive detailed, personalized feedback on their projects each month. The program concludes in February with a presentation of student work for Scriptorium families.
The August introductory meeting is free. Please see Tuition, Terms, and Conditions for information about tuition for the program.
Please contact the tutor if you are interested.
